Cryoskin
To get you started until we see you, we’ve put together the top 5 most asked questions:
What is Cryoskin?
Cryoskin is a trio of noninvasive treatments for slimming, toning, and cellulite reduction. Developed in Paris by Pagani, the treatments all harness a type of cold therapy (cryotherapy), using sub-zero cold temperatures to stimulate new collagen production and fat loss.
CryoSlimming
In this cryolipolysis (fat freezing) body contouring procedure, your provider will use a handheld wand to warm the treated area for two minutes, bringing subcutaneous fat cells toward the surface of the skin.
The skin is then rapidly cooled—down to -10ºF—for 12 minutes, triggering cell death (aka apoptosis) without harming the surrounding tissue. The thermal shock of the cold can feel uncomfortable, but side effects are usually limited to redness and soreness in the treated area for a few hours after your treatment.
Over the next two weeks, your lymphatic system naturally flushes the destroyed fat cells through your lymphatic system. You may also feel thirstier and have to urinate more often.
While you may see some improvement after your first session, six CryoSlimming treatments are recommended for the best results. The treatments can be done every 15 days. This "lunch break treatment" can be done in about 30 minutes.
You'll see your initial results within two to three weeks of your first treatment and optimal results about three months after your last session. Results are considered permanent, as the destroyed fat cells won’t return. However, if you gain weight, the remaining fat cells in the area can expand.
How does it work?
The Peltier Effect gives Cryoskin precise temperature control creating the perfect conditions to reduce fat without damaging the surrounding tissue.
The body calls on the lymphatic system to send macrophages (large white blood cells) to come and ‘eat-up’ the fat debris after the cold temperature has destroyed the fat cell.
Some slimming services can actually damage your skin. Cryoskin is completely non-invasive and uses science
that works with your body’s natural systems. That’s why your CryoSlimming® treatments will be every 2 weeks, to ensure your body’s lymphatic system has time to recover leaving you to look and feel amazing.
The session lasts for 28 minutes and is done manually through a massage technique. The session begins with heat and then a decrease in temperature to -8° for the duration of the session.
Cold temperatures, when applied to fat cells, trigger apoptosis – also known as “programmed cell death” – a process which occurs
naturally in the body all the time. With the application of sub-zero temperatures, CryoSlimming® is able to induce apoptosis to target fat cells and eliminate body fat. We use this science to achieve incredible results.
Is it safe?
The sessions are very safe and non-invasive. Many clients visit us during the lunch break or immediately before or after a workout. There is no down-time after the session. More details can be found about Cryoskin and their safety recommendations.
How long does it take to see results?
The results can last for years, but it is recommended to schedule 1 session every 2-4 weeks for a minimum of 3-6 treatments and then every 6 months to maintain best results.
What are common results?
Results showed a 50% reduction in the appearance of cellulite without pinching, a 36.6% reduction in cellulite with pinching and a 26.7% reduction of belly fat. These clinical results indicated how much the appearance of fat and cellulite were reduced according to clinical observation methodology.
Research has shown customers are 38% slimmer compared to 22% slimmer with other solutions. These results were seen over the course of 10 weeks after 100+ individuals completing 5 sessions each.
